Beauty before time / we’re here to recognize
for everyone to see / within our own instinct
the crush of sacred signs / and rituals divine
that pierce the marvel eye / and bend the arc of time
for those who feed on faith / resigned to those constraints
and shadows out of place/ the shapes in Plato’s cave
witness by the leaves / that fall from silenced trees
the centuries repeat / the beauty for all to see
